I have been going to Rubies Hair Studio in Mission Hills San Diego for nearly seven years and I have to say that Kim is one of the best hair stylists that has ever taken care of my hair. She just knows what looks good according to your face type, and she has a very empathetic and loving way to treat her clients. BTW, my hair just loves her hair salon:-)

Kim Brown, owner of Rubies Hair Studio, has an amazing gift for understanding hair and how it behaves, a natural ability to visualize how a style will look on you, and -- most important of all -- she listens CAREFULLY to your preferences before making suggestions and proceeding with the cut. This lady knows hair! As a recent transplant to San Diego, I had already endured one absolutely disastrous haircut from a "professional" in La Mesa who thought she knew what I needed and totally ignored my input. (I ended up looking like the twin of the little boy on the Dutch Boy paint can!)
I was therefore understandably nervous when I arrived via a friend's referral to see Kim -- who listened carefully to information I provided about my hair and its quirks, my preferences (has to be "no-fuss") -- and who then proceeded to give me the most fantastic, flattering, stylish, and easy-to-care-for cut I've had in 10 years! A great San Diego hair salon to go to for your next cut & style!

Rubies Hair Studio is a very pleasant hair salon environment in a nice part of Mission Hills, San Diego. The prices are reasonable and I always recommend Kim to anyone (man or woman) looking for hair styling and hair care products. Kim has been doing my hair since 1977! I love that she is so skilled at her craft, very pleasant to be around and such a professional business woman. Kim has also been doing my husband's hair since 1997. She actually 'interviewed' him before making the first cut to see what he wanted. He will be a 'lifer' too!

I have been getting my hair done from Kim at Rubies Hair Studio for at least 20 years and have never had a bad experience at her San Diego hair salon. She will make you look like a million bucks everytime. She will treat you like a friend not like a customer which to me is awesome.

I have been going to Kim for 7+ years. I have tried a few other hair dressers throughout the years but my hair never turns out the way I want it. Kim really listens to what I want and then works her magic!! She uses the best products, my hair maintains so healthy because of it. Once you see Kim you'll never want to go to anyone else!!
